Property Fire at Gorehedge, Frome

Date: 02.07.2018Time: 18:03Location: Gorehedge, FromeDevon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a smoke alarm sounding at the above location.
Fire control mobilised one fire appliance from Frome to attend.On arrival crews confirmed smoke logging within the property so requested a second appliance from Frome and an Operational Assurance Officer.
Crews entered the property using 2 breathing apparatus wearers with 1 hose reel jet. Crews found a small fire within the kitchen involving unattended food left on the hob.Crews ventilated the property and left duty of care with the occupier.
