Pub just outside Frome makes a best of national list - and it may surprise you

This pub is not really known on the list for design features or high gourmet food, in fact the last time it 'made' the news it was for the annual conker festival.
Now The Seymour Arms in Witham Friary has been chosen by a national newspaper as one of the best to visit in the summer.
The pub doesn't apparently even have a proper bar as such, just a hatch serving non-branded cider from the barrel. Frome Nub News can't verify this is the case, since we were never sure of when of the opening hours apart from that conker fight last autumn.
But now the head chef of Osip in Bruton, said to be one of the best restaurants in the UK, writing in the Saturday edition of The Times newspaper declares it is ' his happy place'.
With the price of a pint of cider said to be £2,50, that could certainly be a crafty-price brew.
