A popular pub in Frome has moved to offer takeaways to try and stay solvent.

The Three Swans is offering a take out menu of drinks, along with bags of crisps, to that its loyal customers can still enjoy the pub experience -but at home.

The pub, the favourite of the Frome Mayor has a menu on its social media site and is open today (May 16) for customers to collect from the door.

The new way of working comes with a report from British Beer and Pubs Association which said four in 10 British pubs won't survive beyond September unless they get extra support from the government to see them through the lockdown.

The Association found that 19,000 out of the UK's 47,000 pubs believe they may be forced to shut their doors for good within months, at a cost of 320,000 jobs.
