Frome Medical Practice will be running a reduced service on Tuesday 9 July so that staff can undertake mandatory training on learning disability and autism. 

Managing Partner at Frome Medical Practice, Karen Creffield, said: "As a result of the reduced service, the practice will be offering a very limited urgent on the day appointment and pre-booked appointment service only.

"We will have GP cover for emergency / urgent matters but we ask that patients help us keep these appointments free for those who really need it by not contacting us on this date for routine or non urgent issues.

"Our online appointment booking system will be closed for the day so we ask any patients with an urgent need to contact us on 01373 301301." 

She added: "As a result of this, the practice anticipates being busier than usual on Monday 8 July and Wednesday 10 July, when we will open as usual at 8am.

"If you are contacting us on either of those days please bear this in mind. If possible, you may prefer to delay contacting us about non urgent matters over this period.

"Many thanks for your cooperation in helping us ensure those who need it can access our limited service on the date we are closed."
