Remember October 3?
It was the day that Frome FC played their FA cup match against Larkhall, which they sadly lost on penalties.
If you were there you will remember how the rain lashed the players and the pitch. If you even ventured outside you would have been soaked in torrential rain with the main river through Frome running at record levels.
No surprise then to learn that it was, officially, the wettest day in the UK since records began.
Records at the MET date back to 1891.
Across the UK there was an average of 31.7mm (1.25 inches) rain, beating the previous record of 29.8mm (1.17 inches) on 25 August 1986, the Met Office said. Dr Mark McCarthy is reported as saying that the volume of rain that fell across the UK was more than the capacity of Loch Ness,
