FURTHER UPDATE: 1050AM: ROADWORKS SUSPENDED

Somerset Council have been in touch with the local bus campaigners and Frome Town Council and have been told by the Service Manager for Street Works the following:

'Bristol Water have suspended the works given the uncertainty over the notifications of the bus stop suspensions. These works are to be re planned with further discussion to take place.'

FAVBUG said: " Buses will now run as normal, stopping at the Town Centre stops."

Somerset Council reportedly said:

'I have spoken to Bristol Water (this morning) and have asked that no works commence until we can understand want provisions are being put into place so to maintain bus service. Once I know more, I'll ask for a update to be provided.'
