This Saturday rugby returns to 'The Lane' when the Frome RFC 1st XV take on Bristol based side Barton Hill RFC 1st XV.

The senior plays kicked off their run of preseason fixtures with an away Club fixture against local side Midsomer Norton, this week it'll be the tune of the 1st XV who'll welcome Barton Hill RFC.

Newly appointed Frome RFC 1st XV Captain Alex Mallon said: "Finally back playing at The Lane! We have had great numbers at our sessions and have been training really well since we have been allowed to be back together as a team.

"We are looking forward to competing again on Saturday and setting a good foundation for the season ahead! It would be great to see familiar and new faces supporting us from the side line and enjoying match day, so please head on up and cheer on the side."

Kick off is at 2.30pm this Saturday (free entry).

Frome RFC continue their preseason run with the 1st XV travelling to Cleve RFC 1st on Saturday 21st august whilst the 2nd XV & 3rd XV will take on Bath based Walcot RFC in the run up to their seasons beginning.
