Active and In Touch received a donation of £700 from Sainsbury's Frome this week through the Sainsbury's Community Fund.

The fund is set by Sainsbury's head office for the store's community champion Kay Bennett to allocate to local charities.

The Frome store usually run fundraising activities all through the year for charities but have had to put these on hold during the pandemic.

Tracey Rawlins, community fundraiser for Active and In Touch, was delighted to receive the donation and popped into the store to say thank you to Charlie Cooper, customer experience manager.

She said: "Frome is a fabulous town, rich in community spirit and it's wonderful that Sainsbury's staff have recognised the great work Active and In Touch do to help combat loneliness and isolation.

"We are looking forward to working with Sainsbury's later in the year when restrictions have lifted. A huge thank you to Kay, Charlie and all the Sainsburys staff."

If you have a local business that can help Active and In Touch, contact Tracey by emailing [email protected].
