Stall holders wanting Mendip District Council to reconsider their decision to halt the town's Saturday market will be at Frome Library tomorrow (Saturday January 23) collecting signatures and talking to customers.

As reported on Nub News stallholders say that the market was closed without a good enough reason and with out any consultation with local customers or traders.

Frome traders will be on location by the bridge near Frome Library on Saturday 23 to explain to customers why the market is closed and to collect signatures for a petition to present to the council asking them to re-open the market.

They also have an on line petition which has already gathered over 270 signatures. You can read more and sign HERE : the Save Frome Market petition site

One of the signatories summed up how they feel about the market with : " I love the open air market, it is healthy shopping outside .

Plus the traders are polite and friendly."
