As we are well into the roadmap out of lockdown Frome Town Council are looking forward to a summer with events for all to enjoy. To kick things off, FTC are planning two exciting outdoor events for Frome's Calendar.

Picnic in the meadow will take place on Sunday 11th July, from 11am – 2pm at Rodden Meadow. A nature inspired end to the Frome Festival, this will include a host of activities, from river dipping to tree climbing. Bring a picnic and have fun in one of Frome's most loved open spaces.

Play Day will take place during the summer holidays on Wednesday 4th August from 12pm – 4pm at Victoria Park and Mary Baily playing fields. There'll be a variety of activities for all ages throughout the afternoon.

Mayor of Frome, Cllr Anita Collier said: "As a town we missed out on so many of our annual events last year, so we are delighted to be able to announce we are back to planning community events for our town. We will obviously be following the government guidelines at the time, but it's looking promising that we'll be able to have some fun-filled family-friendly events back in the summer, so save the date, pop it in your diary and we look forward to seeing you there!"

If you're a community organisation or run an activity that fits with either day and would like to get involved, then please do get in touch with the event team. Please email Nykki on [email protected].
