The Children in Year 1 and 2 at Vallis First School have been learning about animals in their biology science lessons.

The children have really enjoyed visits from Ann Swift (from Monksley in Rode) and her German Shepherds.

These visits are really bringing the children's science learning in KS1 to life.

The children learnt that dogs are mammals and they learnt about the needs of puppies and how dogs communicate their feelings.

The children enthusiastically asked questions about puppies and older dogs.

Ann's visit has been a very exciting and interactive way for the children to learn about animals.
