A group of Frome artists are "very excited" to have moved into the shop and exhibition space in Rise, in the centre of Frome.

Shine showcases the talents of eight local artists offering an exciting range of art and craft in the cosy shop and "stunning" upstairs gallery space.

Having opened at the beginning of December, just in time for all your festive shopping, Shine will be open from 10am to 2pm every Tuesday to Sunday until Christmas and beyond.

The group explained: "We came together as a team during the last two Open Art Trails and have been working since then to establish a home in Frome for us to exhibit and sell our work.

"As artists we have all struggled to find an outlet for our work in our home town of Frome which is affordable and manageable.

"Finding a workable venue has been hard but the team at Rise have been very supportive and welcoming, and it now feels like home to us.

"We are hopeful that our cooperative will prove successful and develop to become an established part of the wonderful Frome community."
