Thirty hungry children have been helped every day by the big hearts and brown boxes of a local pub.

The owners of The White Hart in Corsley are helping out local families with special boxes of food.

Owner Adelle Gill has prepared the meals with her partner, and the pub's chef Steve.

She told Nub News that although they are motivated by wanting to help other families, they are also giving themselves a boost too.

She said: " We are doing this to help local families, as a pub we understand how hard lockdown can hit you. We want to help people as well as give ourselves a purpose while the pub is closed.

"This has helped fill our lockdown time and given us a reason to get out of bed in a morning. It must be so hard not to be able to provide for your own children in these times."

The meals do need to be pre ordered but generous Adelle told us that they can make more, you just need to message the pub directly.
