Date: 06.08.2018Time: 19:00Location: MANOR FURLONG , FROMESeveral calls from members of the public were received into the fire control room for a large skip on fire at above location.One appliance and a land rover were mobilised from Frome fire station. Upon arrival crews got to work extinguishing fire using 1hosereel jet and 2 attack jets.Crews were then aided by the on site manager were the skip was located, by use of a mechanical digger which was used to remove the waste from the skip enabling fire fighters to turn over and extinguish debris more easily.The cause of this fire is believed to have been accidental. Crews put the stop message in at approx. 2000hrs.No further info for this incident and incident now closed.
