A new Turkish barbers will open in the centre of Frome on January 12 and Nub News took a sneak preview.

The Old Boy Turkish Barber will be offering a traditional service, but with a new twist and in a stunning new environment with all the interior design, well worth a look just by itself, done by the new owner.

It has taken on the empty premises on Bath Road previously used by a letting agency, alongside an existing barbering shop.

Owner Zidan, who owned a chain of shops in Scotland for nine years and then worked for two years in London is already a fan of Frome. He told us: " A couple of times I had visited Somerset and I really liked Frome so I thought why not open a business here ? There are a lot of barbers here but this is something different, something new, a real authentic Turkish barbers. "

The promise is that clients will not just enjoy a hair cut, but a head massage, hot towels and some of the other grooming treatments that you might expect from a traditional Turkish barbers, including ear hair removal and special colognes .. alongside a bar offering genuine Turkish coffees and teas.

The sad thing is that it will only be for men. Opens at 9am.
