Such a gorgeous photo and thank you to owner and alpaca farmer Sharon Snook for allowing us to share this.

Welcome baby Annie, the new arrival to a local alpaca family.

Amazingly alpacas have a gestation of around eleven and a half months, so she began her life just as the pandemic did.

Alpacas usually have one baby called a cria every year (twins are rare) and are very hardy animals, and as you see, super super cute.

Mum Sienna welcomed her cria on January 6 and today (January 11) both are reported to be doing fine.

Sharon told Nub News : "I hope the photo gives hope and a bit of a uplift to those who are alone ."

The family own and run Sienna's Valley Farm in Chapmanslade.
