The NHS is appealing to Frome residents at higher risk from COVID-19 to come forward for their spring booster jab before the programme ends on 17 June.

NHS Somerset says 70% of people in the highest-risk group across the county have yet to receive their latest dose, despite 53,000 jabs being delivered since April.

Those who are immunosuppressed – such as cancer patients, transplant recipients, and people with autoimmune conditions – are eligible under national guidelines.

Mike Kelly, leading the vaccination rollout in Somerset, said: "Even if you've had COVID before or were vaccinated last year, if you're immunosuppressed, this top-up is vital."

Walk-in clinics and bookable appointments are available across Somerset. Visit nhs.uk/covid-vaccine to check eligibility and find your nearest site.
