Amy Garland, Head of Marketing and Engagement at St Margaret's Hospice, said: "Being a Fundraising Volunteer is really flexible and is great fun. You can volunteer to help us out as little or as often as you would like and there are lots of different roles available so you can find something to suit you!"
Mel Merrill, Head of Volunteering added: "You don't need any specific experience or qualifications to help fundraise for St Margaret's, just a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn!
"We wouldn't be able to provide the care and support we do every year without the generosity of our amazing volunteers. They help us to raise vital funds so we can continue to provide care and support to people across Somerset. Giving just two hours of your time to St Margaret's could pay for an hour's support to a family member at home with one our patients from an Adviceline nurse."
So, if you enjoy meeting and talking to new people, are keen to support a great cause, raise funds and boost the profile of St Margaret's Hospice, all whilst sporting one of our fabulous branded t-shirts then we'd love to hear from you so please get in touch by registering your interest today at st-margarets-hospice.org.uk/fundraising-volunteer
In 2022 with the help of over 800 volunteers St Margaret's supported around 5,000 people across Somerset, the majority of who were cared for in their own homes by one of our five community nursing teams. Our 24-hour adviceline managed over 36,000 calls and our specialist In-patient unit in Taunton continues to provide 24-hour complex symptom control.
