Frome has one single post office at the moment - and on Saturday it will not even have that.

Due to staffing issues the Post Office at Portway will be closed.

A Post Office spokesperson said: "Portway Post Office will unfortunately be closed on February 24 and either March 23 or April 20 due to some staffing issues.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Mells Post Office is open on Saturday morning from 9am – 12 noon and Rode is open on a Saturday from 9am – 1pm.

"We are also working hard to restore Post Office service to Rodden Way as soon as possible and we will share more information when dates are confirmed."
