Bath's Sulis Hospital is expanding its regional reach with a new satellite outpatient clinic at Frome Medical Practice, with the first clinic on 23 June 2025. This development will bring expert-led consultations across a range of specialties directly to residents of Frome and the surrounding area, offering greater choice, faster access, and reduced travel time for patients. 

The Frome Satellite Clinic will offer consultations across a number of key specialties for adults, including: 

• Orthopaedics (hip, knee, and spine clinics) 
• General Surgery (including colorectal, hernia, gallstones, and 'lumps and bumps' clinics) 
• Ophthalmology (general ophthalmology clinic) 

Assessments and X-rays will be carried out on-site, with any necessary pre-operative tests and surgery then taking place at the award-winning Sulis Hospital, located in Peasedown St John, Bath. 

The clinic is open to both private and NHS patients. NHS patients can choose Sulis Hospital for treatment via the e-Referral services (ERS), provided the clinic is appropriate for their condition and needs. The My Planned Care NHS website can provide additional information. Private patients (whether self-paying or using private medical insurance) can book an initial consultation at Frome Medical Centre.
