Another business that has re-opened in Frome - the local cafe in Victoria Park.

Today (Sunday June 7) a local brass group also decided to take their rehearsals outside so dog walkers, families and children learning to cycle could enjoy being serenaded.

The local cafe has now re-opened for takeaway coffees and ice creams - from 11am every day until around 4pm.

The children's play areas are still locked here and in other council-run parks across Frome, but the other parts of the green spaces are open, including the tennis courts and the skateboard park.

Meanwhile Mendip Council has confirmed to Nub News that car parks across the district will remain free.

In a statement the council told Nub News: "On 23rd March, Mendip District Council suspended all parking charges in response to the Coronavirus outbreak. The action was taken to support the needs of local communities and our businesses. This continues to be the case, until further notice."
