A Frome bus driver has gone an extra mile to apologise to customers when the bus broke down, and they were charmed.

The driver posted on social media early this morning (October 14) when the seven am main bus to Bath broke down.

Not only did the driver say how sorry they were but advised would-be passengers to stay in the dry, warning them that they were having to wait for break down help as the rain was pouring down in Frome.

The post:

"My sincere apologies,

The 710 D2 from sainsburys to bath, is unlikely to run, this is due to the bus breaking down at Sainsburys.

I am the driver of this bus and I have to wait for breakdown to assist me!

Again, my sincere apologies "

The responses on social media were too thank him for his amazing courtesy.

They posted : " That's really kind of you to tell people, hope they get you back on the road soon. Stay warm & dry!

"What a nice thing to do to inform your passengers. "

The driver, who posted as Lin Doris, clearly likes to look after customers, even when the wheels of the bus were not going around !
