Frome's big charity decoration, now dubbed the Gingerbread House, will be featured on the local television station tomorrow (November 27).
Tony Hodges is making over the outside of his home in a huge makeover for charity, Macmillan Cancer Care.
He explained his motivation for the work: " The reason I'm doing this is simply that for the last 15 years I've struggled with and beaten bowel cancer.
" I've had so much help and support from so many people and communities over those years and now that my health is improving, I am in a place to give something back. "
He has now been donated a tree by Homebase, which his partner Vicky suggested could also be used as a remembrance tree by adding loved ones' names who suffered with any type of cancer to a bauble to hang on the tree.
That will be in the parking space opposite his house on The Butts.
