Frome fundraiser Tony Hodges didn't let a 'little' bit of rain put off his plans to start converting his home into a gingerbread house.

In a makeover for charity, Macmillan Cancer Care, Tony is transforming his home with lights and sweets.

As reported by Frome Nub News, he has fought his own battles with cancer.

Now he wants to pay back turning his home into a traffic stopping design.

Meantime this is what he currently is short of :

Extra lights

Bright coloured paints

Some wood.

But he would also like to hear from anyone who might be able to lend a hand next week to make the gingerbread house at 26 The Butts put it all together.

He explained his motivation for the work: " The reason I'm doing this is simply that for the last 15 years I've struggled with and beaten bowel cancer.

" I've had so much help and support from so many people and communities over those years and now that my health is improving, I am in a place to give something back. "

If you can help, you can contact Tony via his social media or on 07960510638.
