The Frome Street Bandits are a familiar sight to many Frome residents and visitors, often found making a loud cheerful noise at events such as the Festival Food Feast, the Frome Extravaganza, the Children's Festival, Halloween events and so on.

Further afield, they have livened up the streets of Weymouth, Taunton, Bath, Street, Nunney, Westbury, Stoke St Michael, Evercreach and Shepton Mallet among many other places. But 2020 is the first year since their founding in 2008 that they have not been able to play a single gig.

Unable to meet for their regular Monday evening practice or to play at the many open-air community events they get invited to across the year, the Bandits decided to celebrate their love for performance by challenging each other to enter a virtual recording studio.

Each member of the band got properly attired to perform and record their own part for the Bandit tune "Ca Fait Pas Mal", featuring an unusual addition to their sound in the form of several 80's-style synthesisers. The recordings were painstakingly glued together into a unique audio-visual collage and were launched into the virtual world at the recent Frome Community Exhibition.

The Frome Street Bandits hope you enjoy listening to it as much as they enjoyed making it, while looking forward to future celebrations of music in the community, however and wherever that may be.
