Frome : There's still time to get funding for your event ideas

Frome residents brimming with ideas for exciting events that spark joy and bring people together still have time to apply for funding through the People's Budget Events.

Up to £10,000 is available to community groups, charities or not for profit organisations to turn their ideas for fun and enriching events into fruition. Town events help to build meaningful connections and create supportive and resilient neighbourhoods. By providing a £25,000 budget each year Frome Town Council ensures that the events are driven and selected by the community.

Mayor of Frome, Cllr Andy Wrintmore said "Community spirit matters, and it is very much alive and well here in Frome. So let us help you make your event as big, bold and beautiful as you want it to be. We're particularly looking for exciting new event ideas that can become firm favourites in the Frome calendar with a little bit of support and funding from Frome Town Council."

Anyone interested in applying must submit their projects, with a 1-miunute video and detailed budget by 9am on Monday 21st March. Suitable ideas will then be presented to a public vote starting on 25th March and running until 4th April.

The People's Budget Events application, terms and conditions can all be found at www.frometowncouncil.gov.uk/peoples-budget-events
