Back with a bang and literally heaps of bargains, the centre of Frome saw the return of the hugely popular monthly car boot sale.

A special table to the team from the award-winning charity Active and In Touch Frome, with tons of stuff for sale and from early in the day, some very keen shoppers.

Back in the car park of the Cheese & Grain, the car boot is busier than ever.

Organiser Jeremy Westcott also of famed Frome FM told Nub News; " It is busy and everyone is so enthusiastic and happy to be emptying those sheds with bags of stuff they have collected over lockdown. Desperately hoping there would be a car boot and here we are !!

" The choice is ridiculous. There was a man's suit here - from Marks & Spencers, still with the label in it. Priced just one pound, for a whole new suit and that even included the trousers !

"It is fantastic to have everyone back, we haven't seen our regulars for over a year it is wonderful."

There was certainly no shortage of good for sales, which Jeremy explained by the fact that during the year they have been away, so many lives have changed.

" People have moved, they have had babies, children have grown up, all sorts of things have changed and now everyone is out, sorting and selling their stuff."

Every month - always the last Sunday of every single month - the car boot sale donates a free table to a local charity. " We are always happy to do this, " explained Jeremy. " It is a very simple way for them to raise funds."
