Two members of the specialist Personal Injury team at local solicitors Thatcher + Hallam LLP have been nominated as the shortlisted finalists of one of the legal profession's most prestigious awards. The Personal Injury Awards are aimed at what it describes as 'exceptional claims professionals' and is held every year, attracting applications from the highest profile and heavyweight regional and national law firms.

For the year 2020, William Weller, the Managing Partner at Thatcher + Hallam LLP, has been nominated as a finalist in the Claimant Lawyer of the Year Award, whilst his colleague in the firm's Personal Injury team, Lauren Martin, is one of the finalists in the Young Achiever of the Year Award.

'This is fantastic news and an excellent opportunity to showcase our personal injury firm as being a high quality direct competitor of larger regional firms,' says William Weller. 'This year is the 250th birthday of Thatcher + Hallam and to be nominated finalists for these top Awards during this our special birthday year is a real honour. It really goes to show that you can obtain excellent quality legal services right on your doorstep without the need to travel for miles into Bath or Bristol.'

This year, the awards ceremony will be held virtually at the beginning of December and can be viewed online.

'Most of our clients live locally, from Frome to Bath and from Bristol to Midsomer Norton and Radstock,' adds William. 'In such a crowded and competitive sector, for a medium sized Somerset business such as our own to be chosen by the panel of expert judges and nominated for two top national awards is an enormous achievement for which I am very proud.'
