Travel across Somerset was badly impacted today (January 2) as Storm Henk took hold.

Gusts of up to 80mph were recorded around the Bristol Channel area and many roads in Somerset were blocked by fallen trees.

As of lunchtime the following roads were closed:

The A396 at Cutcombe Hill Timberscombe

East Chinnock Rd

Bearley Ln, Tintinhull

Ford St, Wellington

Minehead Rd/Fitzroy Rd,

Norton Manor Camp

Claremont Drive Taunton

Cathole Bridge Rd, Crewkerne

Storm Henk will move into northern mainland Europe by Wednesday but some showers and blustery conditions could still be around.
