Wales & West Utilities are digging up Manor Road until January 25, which motorists have been using as a way down to Proper Job. The road IS open but there are three way lights.

Meantime today (January 21) the work around Handlemaker Road - that's the way to Proper Job - now just one way so you can't drive from there into Sainsbury's . That is expected to be paused on January 23 although engineering to upsize the existing foul sewerage system and for the installation of a new rising main will continue to be phased back in - under either road closures or one way system, dates as below:

Phase 4 - until 07-02-2024

Phase 5 - until 08-02-2024

Phase 6 - from 05-02-2024 until 16-03-2024. although it is not clear what each stage actually entails, only that it will involve certain parts of that road being closed off.

And then there is the work ongoing into the new estate being build behind McDonald's.

That has already started, which is excavation to install new 160mm and 125mm sewer rising mains. That work is scheduled to go until February 7.
