At just after six pm this evening (March 9) a total of four fire engines tackled a fire at a commercial area of Frome.

Two fire engines from Frome, and two from Warminster, were sent to a report of a vehicle on fire at Manor Road within a commercial unit.

On arrival crews confirmed the building , set in a motor vehicle area of the town, had three vehicles inside with one fully involved in fire. Crews used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a reel jet, and one main jet jet to extinguish the fire. There was 25 per cent fire damage to the building and one vehicle was completely destroyed.

The other two vehicles were slightly damaged. The cause of the fire was accidental.
