Owl class from Vallis First School took part in a Jackdaws 'Year of the Recorder' event this week .

The children worked hard to learn six recorder pieces in advance with their teachers and then enjoyed a workshop with professional musicians.

They polished their performances before playing to the whole school in an assembly.

They were fantastic!

All the children in the school enjoyed enjoyed listening to recorder music performed by the professional musicians from Jackdaws Music Education Trust.

They were fascinated by seeing and hearing many different recorders and learning about the different notes that they made.

It was a great event.

They were superstars- well done Owl class!!!
