Walk in coronavirus vaccination clinic at Frome Town Hall for 12-15 year olds Tuesday

There will be a walk-in clinic on 4 January in Frome Town Hall, 9.30am-12pm, for 12-15 year olds to have their first COVID19 vaccination before going back to school.

No need to book.

Last month, the government recommended that 12 to 15-year-olds should have their second dose 12 weeks after their first.

The rollout for first doses among the age group in England began on September 20.

Meantime the latest figures (to December 31) show that in Frome North West, 81.2 per cent of those eligible have had their first vaccine dose,

  1. 2% and 52.6 % their booster or third dose.

Meantime there is a still a reported shortage of Lateral Flow Tests with Boots in Frome reporting they still do not have any stocks today (January 1)
