With the D2 into Bath there has never been an easier way to get from Frome into the city, so how about making a day of it at Bath Races ?

This coming Saturday it is Ladies Day, an excuse if you need it, to dress up and if you are feeling particularly happy in your finery, you could win £500 to put on the horses.

The first race is at 2pm too, so it won't be too hot to be wearing a hat but you don't have to.

The day at Bath Racecourse is one of the highlights of the social calendar, and with music and fizz it is always a brilliant afternoon and a stand out event in the local racing calendar. But don't worry if you don't have a hat, there is no enforced dress code, (except in the hospitality area) unlike at Royal Ascot or Epsom.

That said many visitors enjoy a chance to put on something special to match what is a really special event with all the racing, over five furlongs, part of the Silk Series, which means only female jockeys taking part. In all there will be six races over the afternoon, for more details see HERE
