Here with what is coming up for Frome and the local area this weekend.

Starting this weekend over in Bath - and still only £2 on the D2 bus. Who doesn't love a Ladybird. Wonderful exhibition opens in the Victoria Art gallery. More details HERE

On Saturday - are you looking for a local school? Over at Radstock a school that says it is different is hosting an open event. THIS

Somerset Studio School is a Science and Technology school in Radstock offering these specialist subjects to young people aged 14 to 19 years. 

In years 10 and 11, they still offer the basics in English, maths, as well as specialisms in chemistry, physics and biology. As well as offering Engineering, Digital Information Technology and Enterprise. In years 12 and 13, we have three T Level offers, each equivalent to three A Levels and progression routes, at ages 18 or 19, to University, Higher Apprenticeships and employment. Open tours from 10am, and catering from Parsons in Frome !

On Sunday - carnivals are unique to Somerset, Have you ever thought of getting involved. Great community and great fun. The local Frome carnival committee has their AGM this coming weekend, all welcome, find out more HERE about the Oasis champions.

Then a date for next week's diary. It is Burns' night on January 25, time for a fling ? haggis, neeps and tatties on the menu for sure. One special event to celebrate the the anniversary of Robert Burns' birth on 25 January 1759 and the traditional Burns supper is an evening event that celebrates his life and work. HERE But it is also an excuse for a knees up !

Then a little further down the line, are you a new business to Frome? Nub News has spotted a few new ventures, did you know that Frome has a busy Chamber of Commerce and they would love to meet you. Details of the February 8 event HERE
