The weather outlook for the rest of the week is that as winter proper starts - the current cold spell will continue - with making many of us very hopeful for some snow.

However the local weather man in Kilmersdon, while he doesn't want to dash any hopes, said that the rest of the week will be unsettled with rain or showers and some brighter intervals you are only likely to see snow on the top of the Mendips.

Kilmersdon Weather, which you can find here on Facebook the Kilmersdon site is the go-to hyper local site which over five thousand people regularly check in with.

He told one of his readers who had seen snow forecast on Google: " It is certainly going to get cold later this week and yes there could well be some snow in the mix of the unsettled weather that will accompany the cold. At this stage I think any 'heavy' snow will be restricted to the high ground of Wales and the moors of the South West , with cold rain much more likely. I'm not discounting siting snow entirely though even at lower levels. Keep tuned here though as details may change."
