If you've always fancied a ride in a helicopter or just want an unusual view of the Mendips , here's your chance.

Adventure 001 is coming to the Bath and West Showground, offering a wide range of flight packages and durations, from a 6-mile helicopter buzz of the local area, through to a 30 minute extended sightseeing tour.

Revel in the breathtaking panoramic views of the local area. Enjoy views of the City of Wells Cathedral with a 25-mile flight or extend to a 30-minute sightseeing tour and observe the magnificent City of Bath from the skies.

The team of professional and enthusiastic pilots and crew are expertly trained and fully qualified to ensure you have the most unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience with memories you will keep forever.

A spokesman for Adventure 001 said: "There is nothing quite like the sensation of hovering in a powerful, fast-moving helicopter - looking down at the ground just a few feet below.

"But there is no time to ponder, as your pilot has applied power and you can feel the helicopter accelerating over the ground and now you are climbing, flying away to 1000 feet. Whilst you admire the breath-taking countryside, your pilot will point out the local landmarks. Don't forget to take your camera, so you can you can re-live the experience with friends and family and show off your fantastic photographs."

The flights will take place in a Bell 206 JetRanger, one of the most famous helicopters in the world, primarily because of Hollywood. You'll fly over the area at around 1,000 - 1,500 feet at around 100 knots - or 115mph.
