A young family in Frome have put out an urgent appeal after they woke this morning (December 22) to find themselves without their vital means of getting to work.

Just three days before Christmas their van has been stolen - meaning no way to get to work for the young father - whose partner has just had a baby. They are wondering how thieves could be so heartless.

Frome's David Warburton MP

During a Department for Transport debate in the House of Commons last week, David Warburton MP for Somerton and Frome challenged the Secretary of State for Transport Grant Shapps MP over the poor performance of the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) leaving more than 50,000 motorists nationwide facing long delays securing licences and unable to contact the government agency for support.

David reported that huge delays at the DVLA have resulted in a large number of his constituents forced to wait unacceptably long periods of time for anything related to their driving licence, even the most basic renewal or issuing of a provisional licence.

The Frome RFC U14's ended the first half of the season with a great game, on the First Team Pitch versus Royal Wootton Bassett RFC U14's.

The crowd were treated to a thrilling 20 - 20 game. Lots of exciting rugby, in amongst the thick fog, with a nail biting finish! Great game!
