2024 is a leap year which means there is a whole extra day to fundraise for St Margaret's hospice!

They have launched a 'Pay for an Extra Day - Leap Year Appeal' so they can raise vital funds which will help them continue to provide care to those who need them across Somerset.

 They say : " It costs us £5,087 per day to fund our Community Team and last year, the team made 26,685 visits to patients and loved ones in their own homes, delivering care and support 100% free of charge.

"This dedicated team of specially trained nurses work 365 days a year – 366 this year, come rain or shine and travel across all corners of the county to offer this support and we need your help so they can continue to do this.

"So, make your extra day count and support us so we can ensure our Community Team can continue to reach local people facing the challenge of a life-limiting illness in Somerset. "

Every £70 raised could pay for a visit from a community nurse to help care for someone in the comfort of their own home.
