The Vinyl Social has crawled out of their old home The River House

Mighty One is a fantastic six-piece band born out of a 2020 lockdown recording project, with early demo releases hailed as "track of the week" by BBC Introducing. The group evolved into a full live band in 2021. You will hear: beautiful vocals, driving drum beats, textured shoegaze, glitchy guitars and a large dose of keys, brass and orchestration. Think Sharon Van Etten fronting the National and Sigur Ros. "It will enrich your life and it demonstrates for me just how orchestration and arrangement can lift music to something truly inspiring" (BBC Introducing) Plume is a three-piece funk/jazz/post-rock outfit. Energetic riff-based instrumentals to get you grooving. Epic build ups you can lose yourself in, hip hop beats and breaks you can dance to.. "Totally alright, pretty entertaining really. Probably be the best forty five minutes of your day until you watch Mighty One afterwards. Unless you've had one of those really good days.

Like - you've won the lottery or something, it would be hard for us to beat that I think" (Luke, the drummer) The Vinyl Social returns! The all-vinyl DJ night, a chance for crate diggers to come and share their sounds. After hibernating for a few years, The Vinyl Social has crawled out of their old home The River House and made it over to The Silk Mill to bring back one of Frome's favourite events. From soca to soul, mardi gras to mariachi, bring it and spin it! Find them on Facebook to book a set. Bands from 7pm, DJs from 9pm
