For this year's Frome Festival appearance, Musicke in the Ayre bring you stunning music from the early French Baroque that would have been heard in the stylish salons of Paris, as well as the court and chapels of Louis XIV, the Sun King. Accompanied by Din's period plucking, their three soprano voices come together in varying combinations in sacred pieces by Charpentier and courtly entertainments by Lully, the King's favourite composer.
