Midsummer Party: Local Folk Singer Celebrates New Album in Aid of Hospice
Local folk singer-songwriter, Sue Harding is celebrating the launch of her new album, The World, with a magical midsummer concert on Saturday 21st June and all proceeds from the evening will be going to Dorothy House Hospice.
Set in the gothic beauty of the Bennett Centre, guests are encouraged to bring drinks and snacks and settle in for a wonderful evening as the light fades into gentle midsummer dusk.
Sue's third album, The World, is produced by local legend Will Angeloro and is a moving collection of original songs, inspired by themes of love, loss, healing and wholeness, symbolised by the title track and Tarot card, "The World".
"This album is in memory of my dad," says Sue. "Thanks to the extraordinary care of his hospice team, he was able to spend his last days at home, surrounded by family so this concert is my way of giving back and of celebrating life moving forward so come, raise a glass, and share in the music and poetry!"
There will also be an opportunity to purchase the CD on the night or for those unable to attend, The World is available to stream on all major platforms and CDs can be ordered via https://sueharding.bandcamp.com/album/the-world

About Sue Harding
Sue Harding is a West Country singer, songwriter and guitar-player with a unique voice, range and heartfelt delivery which combine to create a mystically enchanting sound with soul-stirring elegance. There is also a retro sensibility to much of her music that references the songwriting of the 1960s and 70s folk revival.
With roots in both Celtic and American folk traditions, Sue's music is a dappled blend of poetic lyricism and raw acoustic beauty. Think Nick Drake meets Joni Mitchell under an English sky.
Praised by the Financial Times for her evocative sound, Sue brings songs shaped by landscape, literature and lived experience.
Doors open at 7pm. BYOB.
