A Frome favourite fish and chip shop will not be re-opening for another two, if not three, months.

The owners say that due to delays in the insurance paying up and cooking equipment taking longer than they had anticipated, Codswallop will not be frying again for some time.

The shop closed in early June, when the front plate glass window was destroyed, due to an unfortunate car accident.

It took the owners of the fish and chip shop next to Barnado's on Forest Road, six weeks just to get the insurance company to accept liability.

Then after that they had to start re-building a new frying range, which can take around 12 weeks and which they have had to source from Northern England.

That said they were still hopeful of maybe opening at the end of September, but now they have warned that this will slip until October - or even possibly November. They will put a notice on their social page HERE:

When they have a more concrete date.
