The annual meeting of Frome Town Council saw the handover of the mayoral chains.

Outgoing Mayor Anita Collier was thanked for all her hard work and by her successor Andy Wrintmore for her friendship, counsel and excellent mentoring during the last year while he was deputy.

The new Mayor in turn has a new deputy, Cllr Sara Butler-Bartholomew.

The larger than life Frome character later posted with enthusiasm about his appointment writing : " Youngest born and bred Mayor. This next year is going to be wild! "
