Police investigate after attack in early hours incident in central Frome

Police today (September 17) had cordoned off a lane alongside a central Frome church following another criminal incident in the town.

The attack was in the early hours and the victim, a man in his 20s remains in hospital.

The area was taped off and officers were at the scene at the bottom of Gentle Street next to the St John the Baptist church in Frome.

Police have confirmed to Nub News that it happened just before 01:00 this morning (September 17) and they are investigating it as a possible case of GBH. The victim's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
