You didn't do such a bad job, but now we are open to make good any mistakes you may have had.

That's the promise from The Cutting Bar in Frome which has now re-opened for drop in clients and is pretty much guaranteeing no more bad hair days.

The popular venue, which offers no nonsense, no need to book appointments, has retained all the regular coronavirus protocols, with deep cleaning and mask wearing, but the hairdressers no longer have full PPE - so prices are now down.

The friendly team say that they noticed some changes post lockdown... but the long and short of it, is that people love a good cut.

Hair artist Gaby Niemand told Frome Nub News: " A lot of customers were growing their hair longer during lockdowns, they grew it out because they couldn't get it cut.

" But then after about two hair cuts they came and had it all cut short again - they couldn't deal with the length."

She also had some praise for those home barbers. " A lot of them have not done so bad with cutting their own hair, " she told Nub News. " Then they came in and we have had to fix it for them, but really it hasn't been too bad ! We honestly haven't seen awful awful hair - they did ok !"

The hairdressers did however notice that business dropped off and they were very quiet in December when they would have expected things to be busy with a social calendar and lots of events. But business is picking up now in the New Year.

That said, even at busy times they will do their best to fit you in.

Generally in the afternoons when schools come out they get a bit busier,

The Cutting Bar Frome open from 8.30 am until 5pm.

" It is great to be back.... and we are looking forward to seeing you," they told Frome Nub News.
