If you heard sirens yesterday (July 15) in the late afternoon, both

pumps from Frome attended a car on fire on the A361 Frome bypass.

The car was towing a caravan but only the car was involved in the fire. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet, whilst also managing the traffic by closing two lanes of the highway.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

Crews left the scene by just before 7pm.
