For the second month running local residents will be walking around Westdown Quarry and Asham Wood in opposition to the proposed quarry expansion.

After January's walk, with a large turnout of 150 people, local residents we will be returning to hear a talk on the developing ecology, the planning application and hunt for primroses and snowdrops and visit the Protection Camp. There will be lunch of soup and cake, which won't run out this time.

Local resident Indra Donafresco said: "We are delighted with the recent Somerset Wildlife Ecology report opposing the application and hope the regulation committee will take notice and refuse the application and look forward to more people joining us on Sunday."

People will meet by the gate to Asham Wood on Old Wells Road 11am Saturday 26th February.
