Somerset charity, Ferne Animal Sanctuary, gets ready for an exclusive Pet Celebration Event. This unique occasion, dedicated to both Valentine's Day and Love Your Pet Day, invites families and their pet dogs to join a fun packed day filled with activities for the whole family.
Set at the 72-acre working sanctuary the Pet Celebration Day is open to animal friends, and their accompanied humans.
The day will give visitors access to a unique behind-the-scenes tour, a specialist pet care talk, and delicious afternoon tea with a doggy dinner date option, all while supporting the charity with fun games and activities throughout the day.
Visitors can expect to indulge in a delightful afternoon tea for £24.95 (for two, humans only) with finger sandwiches, warm scones, and scrumptious cakes.
A specially crafted menu for dogs ensures no furry friend feels left out.
The Creative Corner will host a series of bookable talks to explore the ins and outs of owning a rabbit or learn about the 5 animal freedoms. Visitors can extend their pet care knowledge further with a behind-the-scenes guided tour led by the dedicated animal care team.
Kevan Hodges, Chief Executive Officer at Ferne Animal Sanctuary, says, "Ferne Animal Sanctuary's Pet Celebration is a day dedicated to the unconditional love and joy pets bring into the lives of their human friends. We can't wait to welcome visitors to the Sanctuary for a fun-filled day with our animal lovers."
For one day only the Visitor Centre, will play host to welcoming ticket holders to take part in the lucky dip, for a chance to win pet toys, while fundraising for the charity.
The Creative Corner will host further activities where visitors can make their own pet toy, masks and bird feeders to take home.
Entry prices for the day have been reduced to £5 for adults and £1 for children. Separate bookings are required for the doggy dinner date, pet care talks and guided tours.
Ferne Animal Sanctuary is a non-government funded charity that has provided refuge and rehabilitation to its animals for more than 80 years.
