Christmas at the Cheese and Grain in Frome

Once again there is an abundance of festive events to be enjoyed at Frome's Cheese and Grain running up to Christmas and new year.

For shoppers there are Christmas Markets aplenty starting with the Makers and Craft Market tomorrow (Saturday November 23).

The very popular Extravaganza Market is on the same evening as the Light Switch On - Friday November 29 from 5pm to 9pm which sees the venue jam-packed with seasonal fayre, beautiful gifts and live music in the bar with the Frome Street Bandits.

The following day on Saturday November 30 is the annual Christmas Charity Fair which is an opportunity for local charities and causes to raise those all important funds, with tombolas, raffles, crafts and cakes, opens at 9.30am till 3pm.

Sunday December 1 from 10am to 3pm is the Christmas Magpie Market, the biggest and best Sunday market of the year full of all the favourite stalls selling sumptious gifts and plenty of crafts and produce, with live music from Frome Rock Choir over lunchtime.

The following week sees the return of the Frome Vegan Market, a recent runner up in the VegFest National Award for best market, which will be full of vegan options for Christmas and cruelty free gifts - if you've never been give it a go, Saturday December 7 from 9am to 2pm.

Then there is Frome Record Fair on Sunday December 8 which is packed with vinyl and CDs, so great for finding a special something for music lovers.

Sunday December 22 from 10am to 2pm is the ever-popular Christmas Somerset Farmers Market and is the last chance to grab your local produce for your festive feast. All markets have free admission.

Live music sees you completely spoilt for choice and features New Purple Celebration (Music of Prince), ska legends Bad Manners, folk from Steeleye Span, a magical evening promised with A Christmas Evening with Merril Osmond, the hilariously brilliant Cuban Brothers, talented young bands performing at Rural Music Network, sold out Happy Mondays, Against the Grain Comedy Night, Dub Pistols and then see the new yYear in with the Unravelling Wilburys (for details and dates check out the website via the red button below).

2020 promises to be one of the best years for the Cheese and Grain with some huge acts about to be announced.
